One of the most exciting collaborations we've embarked on is with Svein Kirkhorn, a talented photographer from Norway. Svein has spent years capturing thousands of photos of men proudly sporting their beards and mustaches, collecting their personal stories, and celebrating the art of facial hair. Now, in partnership with Death Grip Wax, Svein is putting together an incredible book featuring these men and their facial hair journeys.
This project showcases more than just photography—it celebrates the stories, the culture, and the sense of community that grows around beards and mustaches. We're honored to be part of this collaboration and excited to see how Svein's work brings these unique stories to life.

How Svein Met Krzysztof Wojtasik: A Connection Through Mustaches
One of the stories featured in this project is the connection between Svein Kirkhorn and Krzysztof Wojtasik, a mustache enthusiast from Poland. Their collaboration started in an unexpected way but led to a remarkable photography session.
Svein shares the story of how it all began:
"Here are some photos from a fantastic day in the greenhouse studio here in Hvaler, June 8, 2024, together with Krzysztof, who came all the way from Poland to take these photos. We got to know each other after Krzysztof promoted Death Grip Wax on his Instagram, and I wrote to him; it would be wonderful to one day be able to take some photos of you!
Krzysztof came with his wife and young daughter. It was a great pleasure to have them here—so nice, so little stress, and the good conversations. For me, the pictures are as much a reminder of this whole story and how beards and mustaches make connections and friendships. At the same time, I am super proud of the pictures that bear the stamp of this and show Krzysztof's eminent mustache in a good and stylish way. Everything went so well this time!"

The Mustache Journey of Krzysztof Wojtasik
Krzysztof Wojtasik, known on Instagram as @_wojtas_94, began his journey into the world of facial hair seven years ago when he decided to grow a beard. Three years later, he discovered his passion for mustaches after watching Levi Harris of Death Grip Wax shape his own handlebar mustache in an Instagram video. Krzysztof recalls:
"I decided to grow a beard seven years ago, and since then, it has been a part of my life. Three years ago, my 'mustache' adventure began after I saw a Levi Harris video on Instagram modeling a mustache. Levi is the man behind Death Grip Mustache Wax @deathgripwax. Watching him shape the mustache was a great inspiration for me. Since then, mustache styling has become my hobby, lifestyle, and a big part of who I am."
Krzysztof explains his love for trying new styles and testing different products:
"I love different mustache styles, but I think the handlebar suits me best. In everyday life, apart from my duties, I love testing new cosmetics and fragrances and recording Instagram reels on how to style my mustache. In Poland, there aren't many guys with mustaches, so when I go out in public, someone always stops me and says, 'Hey! What an awesome mustache you have!' It's great when someone appreciates the care you put into it."
Krzysztof’s passion for mustaches even led him to travel from Poland to Oslo, Norway, for his first professional photo session with Svein, an experience he cherishes:
"Me and my family flew to Oslo to meet Svein for a photo session, and it was my first professional session. I had a great time, and we did so much! I follow people who style mustaches and win in categories at the Beard and Mustache World Championships. My dream is to one day stand next to them and take part in one of the categories."
Krzysztof’s enthusiasm for mustaches and dedication to the craft reflects the deep passion that many men feel for their facial hair, making him a perfect fit for this collaboration with Death Grip Wax.
